Get to know Interventional Radiologist Dr. Joel Wolf, who serves patients in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Wolf is an interventional radiologist who specializes in a diverse array of procedures throughout the body, including uterine artery/fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, and hemorrhoid artery embolization. He is also a specialist in peripheral arterial limb salvage procedures to prevent amputation.

Interventional radiology is a medical specialization that involves performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to diagnose and treat many clinical problems. Interventional radiologists use minimally invasive techniques to treat a wide variety of conditions in the body via the use of small wires and catheters through small needle sticks. Imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, CT and ultrasound help guide the interventional radiologist.

Dr Wolf spent time with one of the leading experts in prostate artery embolization and hemorrhoid artery embolization, two procedures that he currently performs. He is also a specialist in lower extremity peripheral arterial and venous revascularization as well as in superficial venous ablations and sclerotherapy.

Serving the long-term care community, Dr. Wolf is in practice with Mobile Vascular Physicians (MVP), a concierge vascular and interventional service, with a concentration in lower extremity arterial and venous disease.

MVP provides the clinical consultation, diagnostic work up, and minimally-invasive arterial and  venous treatments to the patients that it services. Its aim is to ensure that patients receive the highest standards in vascular care, at the greatest convenience with the best-patient-outcomes. This is achieved through individually designed treatment plans that adhere to the latest practice guidelines, thus ensuring the highest quality of care.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Wolf graduated with his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2015. He then completed his training in diagnostic radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Jacobi Medical Center in 2020 and his fellowship in interventional radiology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York in 2021.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
