Get to know Neurologist Dr. Alyssa Rehm. 

A highly trained Neurologist, Dr. Rehm graduated from Georgetown University and subsequently received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2013. She completed residency at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell, followed by fellowship in Neuromuscular & Neurophysiology (EMG/NCS) at New York Presbyterian - Columbia University Medical Center. With over a decade of experience, she is board-certified in Neurology, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). 

Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. Dr Rehm is a general Neurologist with a subspecialty in Neuromuscular & Neurophysiology. She performs clinical consultation on a wide variety of patients, including but not limited to, peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, myopathy, peripheral nerve compression (like carpal tunnel), headache, ADHD,  stroke, neck and back pain, vertigo, movement disorders, dementia, and dystonia. She is skilled at performing several procedures including EMG/NCS, Botox, skin biopsies for small fiber neuropathy & autonomic neuropathy, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks. 

Importantly, Dr. Rehm is recognized for her ability to blend comprehensive, individualized care, with compassion, optimism, and an energetic spirit. She is proactive, supportive, and thorough, allowing her to provide outstanding care to a wide variety of patients.  She works with her team at Mount Sinai to improve quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Dr. Rehm never gives up on a complicated patient, always striving to find answers, and appropriate treatment.
