Dr. Anthony V. Pasquarella, MD, has been a part of the esteemed team of medical professionals at Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers since September 2022. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of medical oncology, with a specialization in thoracic malignancies such as lung and head and neck cancer, as well as lymphoproliferative disorders including multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and other hematologic conditions.

Dr. Pasquarella is deeply passionate about the evolving landscape of thoracic malignancies and the shift towards personalized medicine. His focus on chemotherapy-free regimens, targeted therapeutics, and immunotherapy reflects his commitment to providing cutting-edge treatment options for his patients. Moreover, he emphasizes early palliative care intervention to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of life throughout their treatment journey.

A distinguished graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Pasquarella completed his residency and fellowship at NYU Langone - Long Island School of Medicine, where he honed his skills and expertise in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine. He holds board certifications in these areas and is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Active in the medical community, Dr. Pasquarella is a prominent member of elite organizations such as the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. His dedication to excellence in patient care and clinical research has earned him numerous accolades, including being named a Top Physician in 2024 by “Best in Arizona” Magazine. 

A recognized leader in oncology, Dr. Pasquarella has presented his work at national conferences and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals, including JCO Oncology Practice and the Journal of Hematology, further solidifying his reputation as a trailblazer in his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Pasquarella enjoys an active lifestyle, with a love for outdoor activities and travel. His passion for hiking, skiing, and general fitness aligns perfectly with his desire to live near the Rocky Mountains. His wanderlust takes him to South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, where he explores diverse cultures and landscapes.
