Dr. Hayley Popp is a General Dentist practicing at Associates in Family Dentistry in Traverse City, MI. Dr. Popp specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases and conditions associated with the mouth and overall dental health. Dentists are trained to carry out such treatment as professional cleaning, restorative, orthodontic, prosthodontic, and endodontic procedures, and performing examinations, among many others. Dr. Popp also holds an appointment as a part-time Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences and Endodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and participates as a preceptor in the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Community-Based Collaborative Care and Education Program (UMSD-CBCE). Dr. Popp spent four years (2018-2022) serving as a student member and CEO of the Traverse City location for Victors for Veterans (V4V), a program designed to provide comprehensive dental care to disabled and homeless veterans whose annual incomes are at or below 200% of the federal government's poverty level and to do so at no cost to the patient. Her appointment as a part-time Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the UMSD-CBCE affords her the opportunity to enhance the educational experience of dental students currently involved in V4V by guiding the values of the dental students and orienting them towards public service, engagement, ethics, and the health of the pubilc.
Dr. Hayley Popp grew up in Harrison Township, MI and began her education at Michigan State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Package Engineering with a specialization in Health Promotions in 2014. She worked as a Packaging Engineer at Materne North America in Traverse City, MI for two years before deciding to return to school. Dr. Popp received a Master of Science in Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University in 2018 before going on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Michigan in 2022. She is passionate about organized dentistry and a proud member of the Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of General Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta, just to name a few. Dr. Popp also enjoys volunteering in the community and providing dentistry to underserved populations. In her free time, she enjoys reading while surrounded by her four cats, spending time outdoors with her family, and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans.
