Dr. Colin Burgess is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with a focus on treating disorders and fractures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. With additional training in minimally invasive, arthroscopic techniques, Dr. Burgess is able to perform many surgeries through small poke-hole incisions. He specializes in all conditions of the shoulder and knee, including, but not limited to, rotator cuff repair, ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, shoulder instability and shoulder/knee replacement surgery. Similarly, he is able to manage many orthopedic disorders of the elbow, hip and ankle as well.

Dr. Burgess was born and raised in Manchester, CT. He attended Manchester High School and one of his first jobs was as an OR tech in the Manchester Memorial Hospital operating room. After completing his undergraduate degree at UCONN, he attended medical school at NYIT-COM in Long Island, NY. He then completed his residency at Northwell Health/Hofstra School of Medicine where he received multiple Resident of the Year awards in addition to being named Chief Resident his final year. Dr. Burgess then went on to Richmond, VA where he completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.

Dr. Burgess is excited to be coming home to establish his orthopedic surgery practice in Manchester. He is fully committed to giving back to the community that raised him by means of providing excellent orthopedic care to meet the needs of all of his patients.
