How long does it take braces to work?
It depends how much spacing or crowding your teeth have. If it is severe, then it may take more than 2 years. If its mild or moderate, then may only take 6 months to one year. Dr. Totonchi READ MORE

How do you treat a gum abscess at home?
You cannot treat a gum abscess at home. You need antibiotics from your dentist. If there is an abscess on the gums, then there is a bigger problem occurring under the gums around your tooth or surrounding bone due to an infection that is occurring most likely from the tooth. If the tooth is infected and causing a gum abscess, then your only two options at this time to make sure it does not get to the point of you being in extreme pain is either to get a root canal on the tooth or to have the tooth taken out.
