Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Kelly C. Mead, who serves patients throughout the State of Rhode Island.

A prominent orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Mead is affiliated with University Orthopedics, working with patients at their Kettle Point and Dudley Street offices.

University Orthopedics is a regional referral center for patients with back and neck pain, joint pain, sports medicine problems, shoulder pain, hand problems, hip and knee pain, and foot and ankle injury. Their mission is to provide the highest quality orthopedic care integrated with world class education and research.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Dr. Mead graduated with her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 2017, before completing her internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 2022. She is currently enrolled in a hand surgery fellowship at the Brown Alpert Medical School, on course to finish in 2023.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system.
