As an orthopedic physician in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Mehta is trained to assess, diagnose, and treat sports related injuries as well as chronic, degenerative, and traumatic injuries in patients of all ages. He is in practice with Duly Health and Care, operating out of the offices in Oak Lawn and Orland Hills, Illinois.

“I strive to pro­vide my patients with the high­est qual­i­ty care tai­lored to their spe­cif­ic needs. In order to pro­vide excep­tion­al care, I start by mak­ing sure I under­stand the patient, their back­ground, and what their goals are regard­ing future ath­let­ic and phys­i­cal activ­i­ty. The treat­ment options I offer are based on my expe­ri­ence work­ing with pro­fes­sion­al, col­le­giate, high school and recre­ation­al ath­letes of all ages. These treat­ment options are guid­ed by evi­dence based med­i­cine and include the lat­est and most inno­v­a­tive sur­gi­cal tech­niques that have been shown to result in excel­lent out­comes. When patients leave my office, I want them to under­stand all their treat­ment options and feel con­fi­dent they have made the best deci­sion for their health and well-being” expressed the doctor. 

His clinical interests include shoul­der, hip and knee injuries; sports med­i­cine, shoul­der sta­bi­liza­tion, rota­tor cuff repair, ACL recon­struc­tion, multiligamentous knee injuries, menis­cus repair and trans­plant, knee car­ti­lage repair and restora­tion, hip arthroscopy and labral repair, femoro-acetab­u­lar impinge­ment, anatom­ic and reverse total shoul­der replace­ment, ante­ri­or and pos­te­ri­or total hip replace­ment, total knee replace­ment, as well as com­plex and sim­ple frac­ture care.

Having studied in the United States, Dr. Mehta graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, in the top 5% of his class. He then went on to perform his residency in orthopedic surgery at Midwestern University/ Franciscan Health, and his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.

Healing the body, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). The AOBOS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Passionate about his profession, Dr. Mehta is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

He has spent time working as a team physician at the high school, collegiate, and professional level, including Lemont High School (2022 – present). In addition, he is actively involved in teaching and lecturing residents on the most up to date orthopedic surgical techniques and procedures.
