Get to know Dentist Dr. Jack Tan, who serves patients in Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Tan joined the team of associates at Brentwood Village Dental Clinic in July of 2015, becoming a fast fixture through his skill and professionalism.
Working evenings and Saturdays, he believes in providing his patients the utmost of dental care. He offers nitrous oxide sedation as an option when providing treatment to children and an oral sedation option for adult patients.
Originally from Montreal, Québec, Dr. Tan graduated from the Dental Clinic of Université de Montréal in 2012. He then went on to complete additional training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, where he earned a General Practice Residency certificate.
Throughout his line of work, he has been working in several First Nation reservations in the Northwest Territories where he was providing all aspects of general dentistry.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Multilingual, Dr. Tan is able to communicate with his patients in English, French, and Mandarin.
During his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing badminton. A hockey fan, he supports his home team – the Montreal Canadiens.
