What do you attribute your success to?
- Throughout my education I have continuously tried to build the persona and develop the qualities of a dedicated doctor within myself. A dentist should not only be proficient in their scientific knowledge, but also sincere, compassionate, and master the skillful art of communication. The qualities I try and posses as a doctor include these characteristics as well as the logic in using them. By observing different health care systems in different countries, I have enhanced my communication skills and simultaneously gained appreciation for both health environments. I truly believe that the most satisfying reward is to improve anothers life; therefore I am committed to strive to be the best at what I do.

The amyloid plaque that is invariably deposited in Alzheimers disease is composed of a 42-amino acid peptide, which is derived by cleavage of the larger A precursor protein (APP) by proteases and secretase. Excess levels of the neurotoxic A in the brain over long periods of time lead to the death of neurons, brain inflammation & other harmful events that mark the progression of Alzheimers disease.Clinical Features of Early Onset Alzheimers Disease in a Large Kindred with an E280A Presenilin-1 Mutation,Dr. Robert Matts, Biochemistry Dept.

Dr. Robert Matts, Biochemistry Dept.
β-Secretase is a membrane bound aspartic protease, also called as the β site APP cleaving enzyme (BACE) or membrane aspartic protease (Memphian 2) and is valuable due to its link to Alzheimer’s disease. The amyloid plaque that is invariably deposited in Alzheimer’s disease is composed of a 42-amino acid peptide, which is derived by cleavage of the larger Aβ precursor protein (APP) by proteases β and γ secretase. Excess levels of the neurotoxic Aβ in the brain over long periods of time lead to the death of neurons, brain inflammation & other harmful events that mark the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
