Get to know Naturopathic Physician Dr. Noelle Smolcic, who serves patients in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Smolcic, a naturopathic physician, is the Founder of Restorative Origins in New Orleans, Louisiana. She also acts as a natural health consultant, seeing clients in person and through telehealth.

“I am passionate about helping you on your health journey and together, we can discover the root cause of your disease. No two paths are the same, therefore, no two treatments will be the same. My ultimate goal is to help you lead a balanced life, one that is as enjoyable as possible!”

Some of the conditions that she treats include acute illnesses (colds, flu), arthritis, autoimmune conditions, blood pressure regulation, chronic fatigue, cardiovascular disease: high cholesterol/lipids/triglycerides, diabetes type II, digestive health (reflux, food sensitivities, gastritis, biliary sludge, gallstones, fatty liver disease, leaky gut, IBS/IBD), migraines, mild depression, anxiety, thyroid imbalances, weight loss, and more.

Born and raised in Troy, Alabama, Dr. Smolcic attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017. Throughout her pre-med studies and work in the ER, she realized conventional medicine did not treat the root cause of disease and that treating symptoms alone was only part of the picture.

That’s when she discovered naturopathic medicine, a holistic and preventative approach to treating acute and chronic diseases with modalities such as botanical medicine, diet, and lifestyle to optimize the body’s innate healing power. It just made sense. She then graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, a nationally accredited Naturopathic school, in 2022.

During her time in medical school and seeing patients in the clinic, Dr. Smolcic learned to be a compassionate and empathetic listener who took the time to get to know patients and their lifestyles in order to give them individualized and realistic treatment plans. She found it truly amazing how small changes can largely affect someone’s overall health and wellness.

After graduation, Dr. Smolcic moved to New Orleans, Louisiana but continues to hold an active medical license in the state of Arizona.

The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods. Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. Naturopathic physicians diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illnesses to restore and establish optimal health.
