An excellent physiatrist, Dr. Terán strongly believes in treating the whole person, as each patient is different and brings with them a personal story and unique needs. He is the Medical Director of NMCI Medical Clinic, Inc. with offices throughout the state of California.
A multidisciplinary center, NMCI Medical Clinic, Inc. has decades of experience in providing care for patients all throughout Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. Its team of medical professionals treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions and work-related injuries. They treat acute, sub-acute and chronic medical conditions with the aim of improving functionality and wellbeing. They take pride in knowing that patients are well satisfied with the treatments they receive, and are determined to maintain and build on the same quality of care that signifies their compassion for promoting health and well-being.
Helping patients regain functionality and improve quality of life is what Dr. Terán is most passionate about. His fluency in Spanish has helped him work closely with the Latino community, and his dedication and empathy when supporting his patients make him a strong ally to those who find themselves injured and in pain.
A Bay Area native originally from San Jose, California, Dr. Terán graduated with his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2014. He then completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation both at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California, where he received extensive training in management of musculoskeletal and neurological injury, as well as diagnosis of nerve injury through nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NCS/EMG).
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Terán is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
