Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Beatriz Garcia Stamps, who serves patients in Phoenix, Arizona.

A devoted obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Stamps works with patients at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. Her clinical interests include pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal bleeding, and perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms.

Back in 1978, Dr. Stamps received her Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University, before graduating with her medical degree from the Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 1982. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics & gynecology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1986. 

Later, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University in 2001, and completed a postgraduate fellowship in obstetrics & gynecology at the Maricopa Medical Center in 2010.

As a testament of her continued education, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics & gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among her most notable achievements, Dr. Stamps has been the recipient of the 2020 Top Performer in Patient Experience Award by the Mayo Clinic, and was among The Top 101 Doctors in Scottsdale in 2004.
