Get to know Dentist Dr. Kelly West, who serves patients in Saginaw, Texas.

Providing technologically advanced and quality care to every patient is a rewarding aspect of practicing family and cosmetic dentistry for Dr. West. She works alongside Dr. Michael Bell at Elite Family Dental (formerly Kelly West Family and Cosmetic Dentistry) in Saginaw, Texas.

Both doctors make it their priority to deliver quality care to informed patients in a comfortable and convenient setting. They are members of Spear Institute where they continue their education year round to bring patients the care they need to have a healthy, beautiful smile.

Not only is Dr. West dedicated to educating patients about their oral health, but she is also dedicated to learning more about dentistry in order to provide top quality dental care. She believes that informed patients are better prepared to make decisions regarding their health and well-being.

Growing up in Hurst, Texas, Dr. West graduated from L.D. Bell High School and enrolled at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. While there, she played for the nationally ranked women’s basketball team, and went on to graduate with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1999.

Thereafter, Dr. West earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in May of 2003. During her final year at Baylor, she was chosen to be a faculty extender in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department.

Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. West became an associate in a thriving private practice in Colleyville, Texas for almost seven years. In 2010, she started her own office to proudly serve the Saginaw area residents.

To further her dental knowledge and continue her dental education, Dr. West often attends local and national meetings. She also remains a member of several organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Fort Worth District Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Having been a mid-cities native the majority of her life, Dr. West now resides in Fort Worth with her husband, Joel, and their sons, Grayson and Grady.

Aside from dentistry, Dr. West enjoys spending time with Joel and her boys, extended family, and close friends. Her other interests include participating in various athletic events, cycling, cultural arts, attending concerts and social gatherings. She also enjoys involvement in volunteer organizations in the area and lending a helpful hand, or fundraising effort when needed. She has previously participated in dental mission trips to Mexico to deliver dentistry to those in need.
