“My goal as your dentist is to make you feel comfortable and at ease during your appointment. Our team at Smile Essentials is very thorough and we believe that you deserve state-of-the-art dental care” expressed Dr. Kittell.

Practicing alongside Dr. Santarelli, she and the team at Smile Essentials are known for their brilliance, passion, and energy. They offer many procedures including general and cosmetic dentistry, veneers, cosmetic bonding, crowns, implant restorations, comprehensive restorative dentistry and much more.

Beyond their personable and approachable demeanors, the staff is unified, detail-oriented and dedicated to providing unsurpassed dental treatment that cannot be found elsewhere, in an environment that is friendly, jovial, and easygoing.

Born and raised in Laguna Beach, California, Dr. Kittell was an avid volleyball player. She became a student-athlete at the University of Oklahoma, where she was successful both on and off the court and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. However, she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in dentistry. As a result, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.

A firm believer that continuing education is critical for her practice in order to provide her patients with the best possible care, Dr. Kittell is an active Faculty Club Member at the Spear Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona where she devotes her time to learning advanced dental techniques and treatments. In addition, she has extensive experience and training in restoring dental implants and is a certified Invisalign provider. She is especially gifted in cosmetic dentistry, including conservative bonding and veneers or crowns. Dr. Kittell is teaching cosmetic courses to other dentists though universities, local study clubs and conventions. She is also a Key Opinion Leader for Amann Girrbach – a leader in milling systems and DentaFab who are perfecting 3D printing in the dental field.

Among her professional dental affiliations, Dr. Kittell is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Metro Denver Dental Society.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Kittell enjoys lecturing on cosmetic dentistry, hiking, and traveling with her husband, Andy.
