About

A valued member of the Hinsdale Orthopaedics medical staff from 1998-2012, Lindley Pittman returned to HOA/IBJI June 2023. He continues to focus his skills on spinal injury, spinal pathology, and treatment. Lindley is a board certified Physician Assistant specializing in spinal disorders with 25 years of experience. He is part of a unique spine team lead by Dr. Cary Templin, an orthopedic spine surgeon, and Dr.Tamir Hersonskey, a neurosurgeon specializing in spine care.

Lindley is a graduate of Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences, a NCCPA accredited program. His training focused on general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, and neurosurgery. His primary past research interests have included lupus, DNA/RNA sequencing in cancer research, development of viral materials for HIV treatment, and stem cell research in spinal fusions.

In addition to being a decorated United States Navy Submarine veteran and an Air Force retired Major, Pittman has taught locally, nationally, and internationally. He is also an active member of the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants, the North American Spine Society, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants/Associates.

 

Pittman has been trained in both Orthopedic Spinal surgery and Neurological Spinal surgery. He excels at diagnosing and treating spinal conditions non operatively, while involving the patient in the decision making process. He is patient focused and provides compassionate care.
