The mission of Eastridge-Phelps Pharmacy is dedication to the highest quality pharmacy care and an unparalleled focus on service. With locations in Campbellsville and Greensburg, the pharmacy’s vision is to be the area’s best pharmacy. Being the best means providing outstanding service, quality, cleanliness and value, so that every customer has a positive experience every time. Back in the early days of his academic career, Jay graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia in 1993. Over the past three decades, he has gained experience as a staff and clinical pharmacist at Taylor Regional Hospital. He later served as Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Services Administrator at Taylor Regional Hospital, as well as gained home infusion experience as Director of Pharmacy for CertaCARE. Among his professional affiliations, Jay is an active member of the National Community Pharmacists Association and the Kentucky Pharmacists Association. Pharmacy is the health science that links medical science with chemistry and it is charged with the discovery, production, control, disposal, safe and effective use of drugs. The practice of pharmacy requires excellent knowledge of drugs, their mechanism of action, side effects, interactions, mobility, and toxicity. Pharmacists, also known as chemists or druggists, are health professionals who specialize in the use of medicines, as they deal with the composition, effects, mechanism of action, and proper and effective use of drugs. Attributing his success to hard work and a focus on excellence, Jay’s unique niche is that he is known for compliance medication bubble packs. He started making them for his grandmother 13 years ago and realized there was a great need for them to avoid missing / overdosing on medications. Happily married, Jay and his wife of 30+ years, Jessica Davenport Eastridge, have three children: Lauren, John, and Chloe. All three of their children are married and have given them five beautiful grandchildren: Easton, Hudson, Jaxson, Jett, and Jrue. Outside of the office, Jay enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, doing yard work, working on do-it-yourself projects, and playing golf. He is an active member of 3Trees Church.
