Named 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders in Illinois in June of 2019, David is the Nursing Manager of the Neuromuscular Program at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois.

Since it was founded in 1972, Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital has delivered the most innovative rehabilitation solutions available with compassion. Its approach to treatment is a multidisciplinary one, combining leading-edge research and technology with holistic care. Marianjoy treats a wide range of injuries and illnesses with specific clinical programs.

With a broad educational background, David obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2005. He then went on to earn both his Master of Science in Nursing Degree and his Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree in Systems Leadership from Rush University in 2013 and 2016, respectively. 

In his line of work, David has served as the Director of Clinical Services in Home Health and Home Nursing at Independence Plus, Inc. (April 2017 - January 2021), and as the Nurse Manager at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (May 2005 - November 2016). 

Among his various licenses and certifications, he is Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, a Clinical Nurse Leader through the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) through the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

Furthering his profession, David is an active member of the Northern Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and a Board Member of the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois (President elect - January 2006).
