Get to know Associate Clinical Social Worker Almira R. Dang, who serves patients throughout the State of California.

Almira is an Associate Clinical Social Worker based in Huntington Beach, California. She works at KPC Health and  also extends her services to College Hospital, where she has been working since September 2017.

In her academic journey, Almira earned her Associate’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Golden West College and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. She further advanced her education, obtaining a Master of Social Work Degree from California State University, Long Beach. Almira has published twice with the National Association of Social Workers and earned a place within the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi while studying at California State University Long Beach.

Before her current role, Almira worked as a therapist at South Coast Behavioral Health from October 2018 to August 2020, and served as a Master Social Work Intern with the Orange County Department of Education from August 2016 to May 2017. 

Social work is an academic discipline and profession that concerns itself with individuals, families, groups, and communities in an effort to enhance social functioning and overall well-being. Associate clinical social workers are entry-level professionals who work under the supervision of licensed clinical social workers. They commonly provide support to clients and their families by helping them navigate the healthcare system, manage mental health issues, or cope with other personal challenges.

On a more personal note, Almira is fluent in both English and Spanish.
