She currently resides in California and is pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University. Alcohol addiction is on a spectrum. If you are physically dependent, medication might be needed to help you with the withdrawal symptoms. Medication can also treat any underlying mental or emotional issues. The safest way to get off of alcohol if you are dependent is to get help from a team.
