Wendy Sammons-Jackson is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and Biodefense Research Microbiologist with over two decades of experience. As a Principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs in Washington, D.C., she assists clients in the defense and defense health sectors. Wendy specializes in infectious diseases, clinical laboratory sciences, and medical countermeasure research and development. Previously, she served as the Acting Deputy Principal Assistant for Research and Technology at the US Army Medical Research and Development Command. In this role, she oversaw a $2 billion Medical Research and Development portfolio and led efforts to transition capabilities to the Defense Health Agency. Wendy is also an active member of several professional organizations and has contributed significantly to COVID-19 research and development efforts.
