Get to know Neurosurgeon Dr. Arunit Singh Chugh, who serves patients in Tucson, Arizona.

A talented neurosurgeon, Dr. Chugh has been with the Center for Neurosciences in Tucson, Arizona since 2023. 

His special areas of expertise include aneurysms, vascular malformations, strokes, carotid stenosis, brain tumors, skull base tumors, acoustic neuromas, trigeminal neuralgia, spinal oncology, and spinal degenerative disease.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Chugh obtained his Undergraduate Degree from UCLA. He then went on to earn his Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, after which he completed his neurosurgical residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he was also Chief Resident.

Furthering his training, Dr. Chugh completed a fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery and cerebrovascular/skull base surgery at the said establishment. He is board eligible through the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.

Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, often by performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, certain types of birth defects, infections, and head or spinal cord injuries.
