- I have a collaborative approach and a growth mindset. Overcoming adversity in my own personal life. I truly believe in the advocacy of mental health. One of my NASP domains is diversity and inclusion. I was born in the United Kingdom and I\'m of Indian descent. We came to America to live and I am now a proud American citizen. I hold a lot of value in the inclusion and accepting of different cultures; I advocate for bilingual and students whose parents are language learners and advocating for best practices.

Psychology is the science of behavior and mind. It includes the study of conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. It is an academic discipline of immense scope. Psychologists assess, and aide with the psychological problems and behavioral dysfunctions resulting from, or related to, physical and mental health. In addition, they play a major role in the promotion of healthy behavior, preventing diseases, and improving patients’ quality of life.
On a more personal note, Ms. Khaira is fluent in English, and has a high Cognitive Academic Level of Proficiency-CALP level resulting from earning a Thematics Minor-with an emphasis in Hindi, from the UofA. She also is literate in the Punjabi language, for which she taught children to read and write using the Punjabi alphabet, in Sunday School. She attributes her success to her unwavering love and familial support, which allowed her determination and dedication to grow, as well as her drive to provide those in need with equitable support and opportunity for individual success. In her free time, she enjoys zumba and yoga. If she could choose a favorite place to vacation, it would be London, England.
