About

Dr. Nute is a seasoned clinician with over 26 years of experience in counseling. He is a licensed clinical Christian psychologist, a licensed mental health, and a licensed ecclesiastical holistic practitioner. He also has certifications as an integrative mental health practitioner, a registered play therapist-supervisor, and a board-certified holistic psychologist, with extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults with a wide range of mental health issues. Dr. Nute also completed a 10-month certification as a natural health professional from Trinity school of Natural Health. He is also an ordained minister. The certifications in holistic health are based on his belief that you cannot separate mental health from physical or spiritual health so he works to help heal not only the mind but also the body and spirit. His approach is very eclectic, with an emphasis on building and strengthening the therapeutic relationship. He uses therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapies, Bach Flowers,  EMDR, which is very effective for trauma, as well as creative therapies such as play therapy, role-playing, figurines, art, music, humor and Sandplay therapy to help both children and adults overcome their hurts.
