A prominent psychiatrist, Dr. Ruiz-Acevedo sees patients at her private practice in Aguada, Puerto Rico. Throughout her academic career, she received her medical degree from the Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine in 2007, before completing her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the same educational venue in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
