Get to know Orthopedic Spine Surgeon Dr. John Coury, who serves patients in Chesterfield, Missouri.

As the proud owner and operator of Coury Spine, LLC in Chesterfield, Missouri, Dr. Coury combines his comprehensive education, extensive training, and compassionate approach to provide high-quality care to his patients. He is also affiliated with St. Luke’s Hospital, where he continues to contribute his expertise to the medical community.

After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – Bradenton Campus in 2016, Dr. Coury embarked on a rigorous residency program at Doctors Medical Center – Modesto, CA, where he honed his skills and knowledge in orthopedic surgery from 2017 to 2022.

Seeking further specialization, Dr. Coury pursued an adult spine fellowship at Duke University Medical Center from 2022 to 2023. This fellowship provided him with advanced training and expertise in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries, diseases, and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly focusing on the spine.

Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
