Educated in Pakistan, Dr. Niazi graduated with his Medical Degree from Shifa College of Medicine in 2007. He subsequently migrated to the United States, where he undertook his internship at Blake Medical Center in 2020.
Expanding his expertise, Dr. Niazi pursued residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, followed by a fellowship in pain management at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He then pursued further specialization with a fellowship in pain medicine/anesthesia at the University of Louisville Hospital in 2023.
Dr. Niazi chose a career in medicine after watching his dad’s career as a doctor allow him to care for people and improve quality of life. He specialized in pain management because he believes he can make a great impact on people’s lives by assisting them in managing their symptoms, providing care with the same dedication he would offer to his own family members.
Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. A pain management specialist is a doctor who specializes in pain medicine, focusing on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of pain.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Niazi likes visiting state parks, walking, and cooking. He is a car enthusiast and one day would like to take up horseback riding.
