Get to know Prosthodontist/Endodontist Dr. Liviu Steier, one of the leading inventors, researchers, and educators of today. 

Dr. Steier, a seasoned expert in prosthodontics and endodontics, boasts an illustrious career spanning over thirty years in the United States and Europe, notably Germany. Presently, he holds the esteemed position of Assoc. Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Visiting Prof. Federal University of Rio Grande del Sul, Porto Alegre/Brazil, Distinguished Adjunct Professor Saveetha Dental College, Chennai/ India.

Throughout his career, Dr. Steier has held various significant roles, including serving as Clinical and Course Director at Warwick University in Coventry, England, and being a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has also been a Course Leader for the MSc program at the University of Manchester in England, a Visiting Professor at the University of Florence School of Dental Medicine in Italy, and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Steier’s expertise in the United States has been recognized through appointments such as a Scientific Advisory Board Member for the Journal of Endodontics. Additionally, he has lent his editorial skills to various peer-reviewed journals, including serving as Editor, Editor-in-Chief, and Reviewer for esteemed publications like the Journal of Dentistry and Oral Sciences, the Journal of Dental Education, the European Journal of Dentistry, Modern Research in Dentistry, Reality Ratings, and more.

Affiliated with prestigious professional organizations, Dr. Steier was a longstanding member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Association of Endodontists, the Academy of Oral Surgery, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and more. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dental Science.

An internationally recognized lecturer, Dr. Steier is known for his hands-on teaching style, innovative spirit, and extensive knowledge base. He has developed several breakthrough technologies for Cariology, Periodontology, Peri-implantology, Endodontology, and Oral Pathology for diagnosis and treatment guidance called “Fluorescence Enhanced Theragnosis” (“Reveal” by Designs For Vision –https://www.designsforvision.com/Reveal.htm -). Reveal’s invention is currently used outside dentistry for tumor detection and tumor margin identification (see “Reveal” – Fluorescence Guided Surgery), wound care, etc.
