Catherine is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Texas State Board. She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University.
Catherine views every client experience as an opportunity for learning that continually develops throughout a lifespan. Her focus is on the development of coping strategies to target problem solving and changing unhelpful patterns in cognition (thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes), behaviors, and emotional regulation. She integrates personal growth and self-compassion techniques, while considering cultural context and addresses concerns of multidimensional factors that impact development.
As your therapist, she can support development of tools you need to heal, create meaningful connections with others, and live your life to its fullest potential. Therapy will help develop self-awareness, authenticity, responsibility, and the understanding of interpersonal relationships.
