A highly respected professional in the field of Respiratory Care, Dr. Murphy is making significant strides in emergency medicine as the Assistant Chief of Respiratory Care at Westchester Medical Center. With a specialized focus on patients with Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (CCHS) who require mechanical ventilation and Phrenic Pacers, he is at the forefront of innovative respiratory therapies that are changing lives.

Throughout his academic career, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and Education from Southern Connecticut State University in 1990, followed by an Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Norwalk Community College in 1994. He further advanced his expertise by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Education Administration from Columbia State University in 1998. He is a recent 2024 graduate from Southern New Hampshire University with a Masters in Health Administration, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Liberty University in 2026.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Murphy is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he collaborates with peers to advance the standards of healthcare management and patient care.
