Embracing a New Era in Holistic Health and Functional Medicine: Transforming Lives with Innovative Alternative Solutions

Ms. Michelle Rote, PharmD, BCOP, a well-respected figure in the pharmacy and healthcare community, is the CEO and Founder of Harmony Wave Wellness, LLC, a holistic health and wellness practice dedicated to empowering individuals through integrative and functional medicine approaches. Following her own transformative health journey, Ms. Rote is committed to sharing her knowledge and experiences with others seeking alternative pathways to healing.

Her journey into holistic health began with a personal health crisis that traditional Western medicine could not resolve. “What led me to this path was a health crisis that I almost did not recover from with standard western healthcare,” Ms. Rote shares. “However, through Ondamed, LifeWave patches, holistic functional medicine, proper nutrition, and supplements, I healed. I have always been passionate about helping others, and this journey allowed me to become true to myself, prompting my shift from traditional pharmacy to a holistic functional medicine path.”

Armed with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, Ms. Rote completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency focused in Veterans, Geriatrics, Rehab, Pain Management, Ambulatory Care at Southern Arizona VA Hospital from 2001 to 2002. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to obtain a functional medicine/wellness coaching certification through STORRIE Academy.

With an extensive background in oncology and pharmacy practice, Ms. Rote’s professional experience includes various roles such as Clinical Pharmacist Oncology at Memorial Healthcare System from October 2017 to June 2024, Senior Clinical Pharmacist Oncology at Miami Cancer Institute from May 2017 to November 2017, Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Patient Care America from May 2016 to May 2017, Clinical Pharmacist Oncology/Home Infusion Supervisor at SimfaRose Pharmacy from January 2013 to February 2016, Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Broward Health from April 2010 to March 2013, Staff Pharmacist at HealthSouth Rehabilitation from May 2010 to December 2012, and Pediatric Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Orlando Health from July 2005 to June 2008. 

A Diplomate of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, Ms. Rote is an active member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Through her venture at Harmony Wave Wellness, LLC, she looks forward to providing personalized wellness plans that incorporate holistic therapies, nutrition guidance, and integrative health strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.
