Dr. Clayton A. Brigance has established himself as one of St. Louis’s foremost practitioners in couple therapy and one of the country’s leading experts in the effects of infertility and reproductive loss. He specializes in counseling those facing reproductive trauma, including infertility and miscarriage, providing a safe and understanding environment for healing. As a Level 3 Gottman therapist, he is well-equipped to assist couples struggling with conflict, communication, and emotional connection.

With a decade of experience as a school psychologist in public education, Dr. Brigance also conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and aids parents in navigating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. His expertise is further enhanced by his personal experiences with infertility, which he and his wife recently explored in a duoethnography published in the Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy. His research contributions have also appeared in respected journals, including The Family Journal, Contemporary Family Therapy, and Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy.

On a personal note, Dr. Brigance, his wife, and their two miracle boys reside in Ballwin, Missouri, although he often finds himself yearning for the hills of his home state, Kentucky.
