- Dr Johnston attributes his success to being determined aand wishes to thank all of the mentors and teachers who assisted him along the way. He is a first generation college student and received very little assistance from his parents. He has a very strong determination to get past his obstacles and setbacks. He has a stutter and often engages in public speaking and even participated in debate xlub in highschool as a sort of \"exposure\" therapy to help him cope and better himself.
