About

Hello! I’m Dortisha Hamilton, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in Ohio. With nearly two decades of experience in the healthcare field, my journey began as a Nursing Assistant in 2005. Over the years, I’ve grown through various roles—from Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse, and now as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

I’ve dedicated my career to providing compassionate mental health care. Currently, I work remotely with Headway, where I offer psychiatric evaluations, mental health diagnostics, medication management, and follow-up assessments for individuals, children, and families. Before this, I served at the Family Resource Center, managing a daily caseload of up to 15 patients.

Prior to becoming a PMHNP, I worked in several nursing roles across Ohio. Whether in hospitals, crisis centers, or home care settings, my focus has always been on delivering patient-centered care. My experience includes administering psychiatric medications and treatments, as well as providing vital support during mental health crises and substance abuse recovery.

I’m passionate about supporting mental health and preventing mental health disorders. I strive to make a real difference in the lives of my patients by offering dedicated and empathetic care. I specialize in treating a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, mood disorders, trauma, and panic attacks.

If you’re looking for someone who is committed to helping you on your journey to better mental health, I’d love to be there to support you.
