She is trained in a wide variety of approaches including CBT, DBTAttachment, Resilience, and Ego-supportive therapies. 

Dr. Said works actively and collaboratively with clients of all ages who may be experiencing a variety of symptoms. She has provided care in both inpatient and community-based settings, and across individual, couples, group, and family modalities. She is well-versed in providing a broad array of treatment, assessment, and psychological evaluation services. Her experience and approach include a keen awareness of and sensitivity to the diverse needs of minority groups and multicultural issues. She is fluent in Tigrigna and Amharic, the respective national languages of Eritrea an Ethiopia.  

Among her many valued experiences was her service as staff Psychologist at the community-based Program for Torture Victims in Los Angeles, where she provided survivors of torture with psychological evaluation, psychotherapy, and expert testimony in LA County Immigration Court, informing on Post-Traumatic Stress and on the impacts of trauma, rape, and depression. Dr. Said is also the co-founder of Selamta, a non-profit organization which provides comprehensive mental health services to diverse and under-served communities.
