Hi, I'm Carrie Kramer, a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate mental health care. I have extensive experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, working with patients of all ages. My goal is to improve your mental well-being using both medication and supportive therapy.
I began my journey as a Registered Nurse in emergency settings and specialized cardiac care. This diverse background has equipped me with robust skills in patient care. I have also helped new nurses and students as a preceptor, sharing my knowledge and experience.
Currently, I offer telepsychiatry services at I-View Telepsych Mental Health Services. I focus on conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related disorders. My approach is friendly and evidence-based, tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Education is important to me, and I completed a Master's in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health from SUNY Upstate Medical University. I researched ways to prevent PTSD in young adults, reflecting my commitment to advancing mental health care.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey to better mental health. Let's work together to achieve your wellness goals!
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:
My goal is to be a collaborative partner in your mental health journey, working together to uncover what matters most to you and supporting you in becoming the best version of yourself. I see each client as the leader of their treatment plan, while I offer guidance and expertise to help them reach their unique goals.
