Virginia-Based Licensed Clinical Social Worker Combines Education and Experience to Support patients and their families

Fatimah Thomas, LCSW-C, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Certified, is making significant strides in the field of social work, providing invaluable support to individuals and families in need. With a strong educational foundation from Howard University a Bachelor’s of Social Work degree from Delaware State University, and a Master’s degree in Palliative Care from University of Maryland Baltimore College.  Fatimah is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. Fatimah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice.

With extensive experience in health care, Fatimah has dedicated her career to working with patients and their families during challenging times regarding their health.  Her expertise extends to hospital case management, therapeutic engagement, hospice social workers, and palliative care social workers. Fatimah’s commitment to her patients and families is evident in her empathetic approach and her ability to connect with those she serves on a personal level.

In her role as a palliative care social worker, Fatimah has made a profound impact, championing challenging cases and collaborating with doctors, nurses, additional members of the patient’s health care team, patients,  and families.  She understands the critical role that health literacy and support play in making complex medical decisions and strives to provide resources and support.
