Hello, I’m Shurma Maureen Pitt, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience in healthcare. My passion is to help individuals achieve mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness. Using a non-judgmental, patient-centered approach, I provide compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique needs. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, bipolar disorders, and more. By combining psychotropic medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and education, I strive to empower my patients to take control of their mental health. I value open communication, thorough assessments, and collaborative treatment planning to foster a supportive, safe space for healing and growth. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, and cycling, which help me recharge and stay focused. Together, we can navigate the path to wellness and help you thrive.
