Dr. Snyder is a world renowned expert on wound healing and is in high demand as an expert speaker. He is currently serving patients at the Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Florida, which is a part of the Barry University Foot and Ankle Institute.

The Barry University Foot and Ankle Institute is a graduate teaching clinic established in 1988 and it provides service to the community through its treatment of patients from a variety of multicultural backgrounds. The staff believe in an interactive patient-doctor relationship, where patients deserve a careful explanation of their podiatric problem and its treatment. Licensed practicing podiatrists supervise the podiatry students who carry out podiatric assessment.

A known innovator in wound care management, limb salvage, and education, Dr. Snyder serves as a Professor and Director of Clinical Research at the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine (Brand Research Center), and as an Adjunct Professor at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. 

Professionally, he is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the area, including Mount Sinai, the University of Miami, Broward Health Coral Springs, University Hospital & Medical Center, and Northwest Medical Center. 

On the subject of his educational background, Dr. Snyder received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Wound Healing and Tissue Science from the Cardiff University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York and is currently completing an MBA in Health Care from The George Washington University. 

A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The ABFAS strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery. 

Recently inducted as a Faculty Fellow Podiatric Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow), he is a Certified Wound Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management, which is the standard of excellence in multidisciplinary wound certification. Additionally, he is an Immediate Past President and Board Member of Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and a Past President and Board Member of American Board of Wound Management.

With an impressive career both in the academic and medical field, Dr. Snyder has been a regular presenter for the European Wound Management Association and at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care. He has also been principal investigator on more than 50 randomized controlled trials, as well as has published over 165 peer-reviewed and journal articles and several book chapters.

Wound healing is a complex process in which the skin, and the tissues under it, repair themselves after injury. Wound specialists are healthcare professionals who have been trained in the care and treatment of all types of wounds - acute and chronic. Among the most commonly treated wounds are those sustained from an acute injury, surgical wounds, diabetic wounds, and pressure sores.
