Get to know Dr. Donald J. Roman, who serves patients in Hackensack, New Jersey. 

Dr. Roman, a general dentist has been in private practice in Bergen County since 1990, serving the community and providing beautiful smiles. 

Roman Dental Arts practice in Hackensack, New Jersey cares for both adults and children, as well as excels in providing cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, and dental implants from start to finish.   Dr. Roman is committed to providing high-quality, personalized dental care in a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment.

In 1983, Dr. Roman earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine. He served as a Commissioned Officer in the USPHS as Acting Director of Dentistry at the Camden County Family Dental Center until 1985.

Some of the doctor’s professional affiliations and credentials include: Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists,  Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser and Imaging Institute, Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Diplomat of the Society of Osseointegration, active member of the American Dental Association, certified Invisalign provider, and trained Chao Pinhole provider. Moreover, he has been named one of the “Top Dentists in America” for over 16 years, is the recipient of the 2011 Top Dentist Award (New York Area), as well as serving on the Editorial Advisory Board of Dental Town Magazine. 

 A lifelong resident of Bergen County, Dr. Roman serves community members and friends with pride. In addition to supporting local charities and local recreation groups for his patients, he is active in the Gift of Life Foundation, UNICO, the local Chamber of Commerce, and children’s sports. What’s more, he is a past President of River Edge-Oradell-New Milford Rotary Club. 

Dr. Roman’s concept is to provide comprehensive dental care for his family of patients, where “his family cares for your family.” Dr. Alissa Roman has joined her father at Roman Dental Arts to provide complete care for their patients. Their office stays abreast of the latest dental techniques to provide the finest personal care possible. Dr. Roman is also a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry, an honor which less than 10% of General Dentists hold.
