In private practice since 1989, Dr. Palmer is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose safety record is unblemished. He brings his experience of having performed thousands of operations to his established practice. He was also one of the first plastic surgeons in the country to combine facelifts with full face laser resurfacing and is widely known and respected for producing outstanding results with minimal pain and extremely fast post-operative recoveries.

As the Founder of Palmer Cosmetic Surgery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Palmer makes it a priority to understand his patients’ goals and customizes each procedure to meet those goals. “At Palmer Cosmetic Surgery our goal is to provide the best possible care to our patients so they can enjoy an improved self-image and a better quality of life. Each patient’s operation is designed specifically for them and the most modern techniques are utilized. During his academic career, Dr. Palmer attended the University of Miami Medical School, graduating with his medical degree in 1980. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 1985, before going on to complete his fellowship in plastic surgery at UCLA Medical Center in 1987. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship in microsurgical and hand surgery at the same venue, serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery in 1988. 

In regards to the doctor’s accomplishments, he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. He is also board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, whose mission to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the face and body. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reconstructive techniques to get the desired outcome. 

Knowledgeable in his field, Dr. Palmer has customized his patient care protocol to the point that he does not need to use general anesthesia with any of his office based procedures, including breast and abdominal surgery. His surgeries are done under IV sedation anesthesia where patients are breathing on their own and controlling their own bodily functions. They remain completely asleep during the procedure, having no awareness and feel no pain during their operation.
