Tarzana Anesthesia Medical Group, Inc. (TAMGI) is a private practice group of physician anesthesiologists based in the San Fernando Valley. The group was formed in 1991 out of a desire to provide patients with compassionate anesthesia care of the highest quality. Over the years, they have recruited dedicated physicians from prestigious institutions across the U.S. They provide a full range of anesthesia services, including obstetric, neonatal, pediatric, cardiac, regional, critical care, and pain management.

A native of Egypt, Dr. Elsibai completed his undergraduate and medical education at Cairo University. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Southern California.

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in  anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

To boot, he is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

In the past, Dr. Elsibai has served as the Chief of Anesthesia at Glendale Memorial Hospital, and Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia & Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.
