Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Edward Pineles, who serves patients in the Brooklyn area. Dr. Pineles is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care specialist. He provides his patients with various medical services ranging from general pulmonary consultations to customized treatment plans.They have excellent things to say about him, one stating “the doctor is so nice and he is such a delight to work with.” Dr. Pineles currently practices at Health 4U Medical Urgent Care Center, located in Brooklyn, New York. Health 4U Medical Urgent Care Center is an urgent care facility that is fully staffed with highly-trained specialists and urgent care equipment, providing superb services in a timely fashion. Dr. Pineles is also affiliated with facilities such as the Flushing Hospital Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Queens. In addition to his clinical roles, he has served as an Instructor in Medicine at SUNY Downstate. Dr. Pineles is board-certified in both Pulmonary Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Certification by the ABIM has stood for the highest standard in internal medicine and its 20 subspecialties. Certification has meant that internists have demonstrated – to their peers and to the public – that they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care. Dr. Pineles received his medical degree in 1975 from the SUNY Downstate Medical School in New York City, New York. Wanting to further his education, he completed an internship and residency programs in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital, followed by his fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine. As a pulmonologist, Dr. Pineles specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the lungs and respiratory tract. Some of the conditions that he is well known for treating include acute upper respiratory tract infections, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema, tuberculosis, acute pharyngitis, and obstructive sleep apnea. Furthermore, he offers allergy testing to test patients for various allergies that they may suffer from, as well as treatment for any evident allergies. In addition to English, Dr. Pineles speaks Hebrew.
