Boasting an impressive academic background, he graduated from Tufts University and obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. His extensive training includes completing his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital, where he trained under the esteemed Dr. Bernard J. Gersh.
During his formative years, Dr. Moutsatsos dedicated his research efforts to studying the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis at The National Institute of Health, resulting in numerous co-authored abstracts, papers, and book chapters that have contributed significantly to the field of cardiology.
An expert in his field, he holds certifications in cardiac catheterization, nuclear medicine, transesophageal, and transthoracic echocardiography, showcasing his proficiency in an array of cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment modalities.
With a commitment to advancing cardiac care, Dr. Moutsatsos founded Westover Cardiology following a decade-long tenure as a managing partner at Cardiology Consultants. Noteworthy roles during his time at Cardiology Consultants included serving as the Director of The EECP program and The Non-Invasive Laboratory at St. Francis Hospital.
Currently, he holds esteemed appointments at premier medical institutions, including Attending Staff Privileges at Christiana Care Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital.
