Dr. Francis W. Brooks is Director of Florida Impairment with 35 years clinical experience as a triple board certified Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon. He was an item writer and elected to the Panel of Judges for the American Osteopathic Association's Pain Boards and re-certified through 2030. Dr. Brooks graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in the top 5% of his class and completed his Family Practice training at Orlando General Hospital. Founding Fellow of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians and International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators. the original organization training thousands of MD’s and DO's American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment , Publications, AMA Guides, Independent Medical Examination, Disability Evaluation, Functional Capacity Evaluation, NIOSH Ergonomic Analysis, and Medicolegal Evaluation. He began Psychophysiologic and Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh, Fellow of the American Psychotherapy Association, and board certified PTSD Clinician. Dr. Brooks has treated over 10,000 injuries from motor vehicle collisions and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine. In 2018 he was elected to the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) subcommittee, gold standard for ranking injury severity. He is a Certified Impairment Rating Physician for the State of Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of Workers. Compensation, and a Certified Expert Medical Advisor for the State of Florida. Dr. Brooks plans to teach at the new Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine, scheduled to open in July, 2024.
