After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his one-year internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock, and his two-year residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, he is also board-certified through the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine & a member of The Institute of Functional Medicine.
In the state of Texas, Dr. Karing is affiliated with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford and Methodist Southlake Medical Center.
