Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Tania I. Diaz, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.
A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Diaz is in practice at Pedcare Medical Group, seeing patients at their three locations in Garland, Mesquite, and Sunnyvale, Texas. Though extensively trained and experienced in every area of pediatrics, she has also developed a special interest in allergy and asthma management, dermatology, endocrine, nephrology, upper and lower respiratory infections, newborn care, patient education and prevention.
“I am dedicated to promoting excellent quality medical care; and to having integrity, compassion and empathy with my patients and their families” expressed the doctor.
Throughout her academic career, she earned her medical degree from the Autonomous National University of Nicaragua. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Saint Luke’s Memorial Hospital (associated with Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico) in 2007, where she was selected as Chief Resident.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
During her training, Dr. Diaz participated in many scientific research studies in the fields of asthma and diabetes. She was a resident representative in the hospital administrative committee and the National Committee of Interns and Residents.
An active member of the Texas Medical Association, she can be found on staff at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and has been appointed as a Clinical Instructor for medical students.
