Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Erika S. Drazan, who serves patients in Palo Alto, California.

“I enjoy all aspects of pediatric medicine — from advocating for quality health care access to spending time with each patient in each room here at PAMF. In the past, I have spent time working in international medicine in Nepal, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Mexico.” as stated by Dr. Drazan, a board-certified pediatrician who practices at Palo Alto Center in California.

A part of the Sutter Health network, the Palo Alto Center provides a full range of high-quality primary care services and more than 50 specialty and subspecialty medical services, including allergy and immunology, audiology, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, hand surgery, neurology, OB/GYN pediatrics, radiation oncology, and sports medicine. This location also offers state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technologies, laboratory services, and adult and pediatric urgent care.

A 1999 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Drazan went on to complete her internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco in 2000 and 2003, respectively.

In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), which is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. Certification by the ABP has one objective, to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Drazan provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Married with two children, Dr. Drazan enjoys telling jokes to her daughter, tickling her son, and spending time with her husband and friends. She enjoys outdoor recreational exercise such as biking, running, and hiking. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish and French.
