Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Srinivas J. Madane, who serves patients throughout the State of New Jersey.

An exceptional gastroenterologist, Dr. Madane sees patients at Pulmonary Medical Associates, a comprehensive practice affiliated with Atlantic Health System – Newton Medical Center, Hackettstown Medical Center, with seamless access to Morristown Medical Center for cardiac surgery, and Overlook Medical Center for neurosurgical needs.

A native of India, he obtained his medical degree from the MS Ramaiah Medical College in 1993. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in 1998. Finally, he completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the same educational venue in 2001.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
