Get to know Internist Dr. Milton J. Grunzweig, who serves patients in Brooklyn, New York.

Recognized as a Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area, Dr. Grunzweig’s focus is on the medical treatment of adults, also known as internal medicine. With over three decades of experience in his field, he is affiliated with Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center is one of the largest nonprofit voluntary teaching hospitals in Brooklyn. It covers a 10-acre campus plus six Brookdale Family Care Centers, with buildings devoted to inpatient, ambulatory, long-term care, senior living, and emergency medicine, and has the latest technology for service to the community. The mission of the hospital is to be the focus of a healthy community, stressing the organization’s value of caring and respect for everyone.

A 1986 graduate of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Dr. Grunzweig went on to serve his residency in internal medicine at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.

Following his training, the doctor became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine,  a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

In honor of his extensive clinical expertise, Dr. Grunzweig is the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions, including Compassionate Doctor Award – 5 Year Honoree (2014), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016), On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018), Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2018), Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018), and Top 10 Doctor – Neighborhood (2014).
